Who is she?
Chef Sequoia is an East Bay kid. She grew up in Berkeley and West Contra Costa County. She began her culinary career while still enrolled at Berkeley High School, working private events for family friends. Things became serious when she was hired to help open and run Boss Burger in Albany and eventually moved up to the general manager position. Since then she has spent time at a handful of culinary institutions including Rosco and Wendy’s Corso Trattoria, and Chez Panisse. For the last two years she has been cooking at Chef Tony Tung’s Good To Eat - featured in KQED’s “Check Please” and named one of the best restaurants in Oakland by SF Eater and Nosh.
Now with a handle on quite a variety of flavors and cuisines Chef Sequoia is looking to settle down from the restaurant hubbub, and bring these flavors into your kitchen!
